At St. James, we are a Church that is all about Jesus! We want to follow what Jesus teaches, love as Jesus has first loved us, and grow as faithful followers. Check below for more info on what we believe, and how those beliefs shape our actions.

We are community of believers, dedicated to PRAISING GOD, EXPERIENCING JESUS,
GROWING FAITH, SHARING HOPE in all that we think, say, and do!
We Praise, Experience, Grow and Share together through our weekly worship services, through our many Bible study and small groups each week, through our varied outreach mission and through our own personal lives, as we live for Jesus!
We are a diverse community, with ages ranging from 2-92. More importantly, we are a community that is committed to welcoming all, as brothers and sisters in the name of Jesus Christ.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Basically, we’re into Jesus and simply believe everyone should be invited into a growing relationship with Him. If you want to get more specific, here’s what we believe doctrinally:
About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that human hands were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is necessary, sufficient and reliable, revealing Jesus Christ, the living Word.
About salvation
We believe that salvation comes from God's grace alone, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Through no merit of our own, God calls us to new life in Jesus. Through Christ's Life, Death, and Resurrection, this transforming grace of God is made known to his creation. This grace, received by faith alone, pardons and justifies, redeems and reconciles us.
About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

One in Three.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal to humanity the depth and breadth of God's love for his creation.
About the Christian life
We believe that, in body and in soul, our whole lives belong completely to our Lord, Jesus.
By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
About humankind
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. God's redeeming work in Jesus, through his Life, Death, and Resurrection, re-invites us to experience God, and to have a relationship with our Creator. Ultimately, we all belong to God, and humanity should reflect God's love for his creation through all that we say and do.
About the church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to the lost world. As God sent Christ to us, so Christ sends us into the world. We are here to proclaim Jesus Christ in word and deed!
